“Jena has been an incredible blessing in my life and a key player in my navigation through the intersection of two major identities - Mormonism and being a member of the LGBTQ community. Her empathy, compassion, understanding, and knowledge was a major catalyst in my personal acceptance of myself as I am, and afforded me the support needed to move through the most complex and difficult experiences of my life. I am forever grateful to Jena. She is warm, authentic, and meets you where you are without judgment.”

“Jena helped me navigate one of the most difficult periods of my life and emerge on the other side a stronger, happier, and more fulfilled person. Between coming out as gay, working through a divorce, and striving to be a loving father and effective co-parent, Jena helped me find the courage to stay true to myself through it all. For the first time, I was okay to just be me and not wast energy trying to be anything else. And as a result, I am now able to show up and be present in the lives of my family and friends in a way that I never thought was possible. Thank you, Jena!”

Working with Coach J and seeing the help, guidance, and support she has provided my son has been life changing. Being the mom of a trans son was a road I didn’t know how to navigate. The one thing I did know is my son needed a safe place as he worked through feelings of isolation, loneliness, fear, and so much more. I wasn’t prepared in how to best help my son. Not only did J help him, but she also helped me as a mom to work through the emotions I was having as I grieved a daughter, I thought I had while also being incredibly grateful to have my son. As a parent I have watched my son find courage to be authentic to who he is. My son is now thriving. He’s stretching out of his comfort zone. I can’t recommend J highly enough. Having a safe, judgement free zone was what we needed. By working with J, it’s given my son the tools needed to share things I needed to learn and hear as a parent-even the hard things. Plainly put, without her coaching it would have taken my son much more time to get to the happy spot he is today!

J has been a fantastic coach, she is so much fun to talk to and is a great listener. There wasn’t a single topic of conversation that I wasn’t able to talk about. She has always been able to talk 24/7, 7 days of the week especially when I needed it. She has also helped me so much with figuring out my gender identity and helping me with my social and medical gender transition. Without her I would not be where I am today. I could not recommend Coach J enough especially after all the meetings I have had with her.”

“I have been seeing Jena since November 2019. I knew that I needed someone who could truly understand the journey I was on. I was an active member of the LDS church and gay, which made me feel like two core pieces of my being were being ripped apart. Jena shows immense empathy and compassion. Along the way, she was always there for me. I truly appreciate her ability to sit in the silence, which helps me have processing time so I can open up. She is brilliant at finding the balance between pushing me so I can grow, without making me feel like shrinking in on myself. Once I spent time working through trauma and anxiety triggers, Jena then helped me to find joy in everyday life. I value that the things she asks me to do for self care she is doing herself as well. This allows for conversations about meditation and various types of self care books. Jena has helped me more than I can express, and I would recommend her to anyone who is needing a compassionate, empathetic coach/therapist.”
