Jena Lowry Peterson

Jena has been Life Coaching professionally since 2015. After studying Behavioral Science at UVU, she earned her bachelor’s degree in 2008 in Human Services, with a minor in Business Management from the University of Phoenix. Jena is also a certified Health Coach and Personal Trainer through ISSA. She opened her practice, Authentic Life Coaching, LLC, in January of 2015. Since then, she has served in various capacities in the LGBTQ+ community, recording podcasts, serving on the advisory board for Listen, Learn, and Love, facilitating the lesbian support group at Encircle, speaking and presenting at numerous conferences, and serving as Board Chairperson at Flourish Therapy. Jena has personally navigated being an LGBTQ+ individual at the intersection of religion, culture, and family, and has maintained meaningful relationships in all of those areas. In addition to her education, she brings years of personal experience and wisdom to her clients. Coaching and teaching have always been a part of Jena’s career. She brings 15+ years of high school teaching and/or coaching, at Lone Peak High School, Cedar Valley High School, Providence Hall High School, and Pinnacle Charter High School in Arizona. Jena has worked with teens as an EFY counselor, facilitator for Empowering Teen Spirit LLC with Lisa Nichols, and various sports camps. She recently finished her ISSA certification as a Personal Trainer and Health Coach and is excited to implement that training with her clients. Jena values making time for the things she loves, including snowboarding, hiking, water sports, and she recently finished her first Ironman 70.3. She believes in nourishing mind, body, and spirit for wholeness, self-empowerment and healing.
